About the author

Terence J. Pitre, PhD

U.S. Navy veteran. PhD. He spent twenty years on the math the book is built around — first as a sailor running the numbers on his own pension, then as an academic teaching others how compensation, taxes, and time interact.

He wrote Hurry Up and Invest because the book he wanted at twenty didn’t exist — and because most of the personal-finance shelf was written for civilians who’ll never see a pension at thirty-seven.
